Setting Up Your Wallet

Before trading memecoins, you’ll need a wallet. The most popular for Solana-based coins is Phantom.

Step 1: Download Phantom

• Go to phantom.app

• Download the browser extension or mobile app

• Create a new wallet (save your seed phrase somewhere safe, don’t share it with anyone)

Step 2: Add Some SOL

• Buy SOL on an exchange (like Coinbase, Binance, Moonpay via Phantom, etc.)

• Send it to your Phantom wallet address

You’ll use SOL to buy coins, and also to pay for transaction fees (they’re super cheap)

Step 3: (Optional) Create Multiple Wallets

Many memecoin traders use multiple wallets:

• One for holding stables

• One for trading

• One for testing links / connections

Wallet Security Tips:

• Never connect your wallet to random sites - double check links.

• Use a trading wallet when trading coins. Safer than risking your main wallet.

• Beware of fake DMs and scam airdrops - if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

• Always back up your seed phrase offline (not in your phone notes).

Simple rule: If someone has your seed phrase or private key, they have your money.
